A programme recorded with Steve Hackett, the former lead guitarist for Genesis, will be broadcast on BFBS Radio 2 this Easter.
The musician recently visited the BFBS studios in Buckinghamshire and played live during an extended interview with BFBS Radio 2 Presenter, Simon Marlow.
“In this two-hour programme, we talk about Steve’s time with the band and listeners will hear some of his music, plus tracks that have inspired him throughout his life,” said Simon.
“Having followed Genesis for many years it was a real treat for me to welcome him to BFBS Radio 2.”
Steve was at the BFBS studios just five days before starting his Genesis Revisited Tour that will take him across Europe, Scandinavia, Japan and the USA, finishing in November with a show at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge.
“His world tour has been received with such excitement because this is the only way you can hear Genesis music played live by any of the original line-up,” added Simon, “I can’t wait to share that with our Forces audiences based around the globe.”
BFBS Radio 2 broadcasts on FM in Forces locations overseas and online in the UK.
