The annual Television and Radio Industries Club Awards have been handed out in a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London, hosted by Jon Culshaw.
In the two radio categories, awards were given to Capital FM’s Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon for Best Radio/Digital Radio Programme whilst Chris Evans took home the award for Digital Radio Personality.
Nominees for Digital Radio Personality were Chris, Lisa Snowdon and Scott Mills. The nominees for Best Radio/Digital Radio Programme were Dave & Lisa, Steve Wright in the Afternoon and The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, both on BBC Radio 2.
Last year, and the year before, Chris Evans won both awards. in 2010, Terry Wogan won Best Personality and Chris Moyles won Best Radio Programme.
Chris Evans thanked TRIC on Twitter shortly afterwards:
Thanks TRIC. Much appreciated. Bravo Mr Tickle. Nice speech, apparently.
