March 1st saw CN-Group station The Bay celebrate 20 years of broadcasting to North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The day started off with a listener winning £1575 on an accumulating cash pot competition prize which has been running since last October, followed by an acoustic set from Toploader live at The Bay’s Lancaster studios.
Recently back together and touring the country, the band called in to Darren Milby’s Drivetime show, en route to their gig at Kendal’s Brewery Arts Centre. They chatted to Darren and performed live on air.
The Bay first went on air on Monday 1st March 1993 with a classic hits format and a line-up including Carl Greenwood, Kenni James and Mike Shaft.
