Top Award for Tyneside’s Dave Nicholson

Long-serving Radio Tyneside member Dave Nicholson has been given the special John Whitney Award at the Hospital Radio Awards 2013.

davenicholsonDave has volunteered at the station for 40 years, was awarded an MBE for services to hospital radio in 1997, and continues to run be Director of the Newcastle/Gateshead station.

He was presented with his award by colleague and station Chairman John Myers at the hospital radio conference and awards weekend in Blackpool on Saturday night.

Collecting, Dave said he was still in shock and thanked everyone.
