Leading radio industry news website RadioToday (hey, that’s us!) will be repeating its live radio show direct from the Sony Radio Academy Awards.
Presenters Pat Sharp (Smooth Radio afternoons) and Stuart Clarkson (BBC Radio 5 live) will once again be providing full coverage from the Grosvenor House Hotel in London as UK radio professionals gathers for the biggest awards event of the year on May 13th.
The online show, sponsored by Broadcast Bionics, will start with a 30 minute countdown at 5pm as nominees, celebrities, VIPs and industry folk start arriving. The ten-strong RadioToday team will also be roaming around the venue chatting to guests and providing insights and photos for the online blog.
The Radio Today Sonys Show will also feature a live feed from the stage as host Chris Evans welcomes special guests to announce the winners.
Part of the show will include good luck audio messages from friends and colleagues around the industry which can be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or recorded on Audioboo tagged with #sraa2013
Stuart said: “We had a lot of fun last year talking to the likes of Ronnie Wood, Richard Bacon, Danny Baker and Fearne Cotton live on the webcast, as well as bringing listeners reaction to the news of the winners as they were announced.
“Even Chris Moyles and Toby Anstis were listening at home, so if you tune in this year you’ll be in great company!
“We’ll chat to the industry’s big hitters and celebrity presenters, as well as nominees and winners. Plus there’ll be plenty of the atmosphere from the awards and live coverage of the announcements and winners’ speeches direct from the stage. If you can’t be there, listening to the Radio Today Sonys Show is the next best thing.”
