UKRD Finance Director nominated for award

UKRD’s Finance Director Andy Preece has been named as a finalist in the Private Company FD of the Year category in the FD’s Excellence Awards.

Andy, who was appointed Finance Director of the privately owned radio group two years ago after a brief spell as Group Finance Manager, will attend an awards ceremony in London in early May along with a small number of other nominees who were nominated from amongst the thousands of institute members from all sectors of industry and commerce.

The final placing will be confirmed that evening.

UKRD’s Chief Executive Officer, William Rogers, was quick to praise his colleague and expressed his delight at the nomination: “Andy is not only a superb Finance Director but plays a tremendously important role in so many other ways as one of the leaders of our business. I believe it is the first time a Finance Director from the commercial radio sector has been nominated and it says a huge amount not only about Andy but also the business he helps to run.”

Andy Preece expressed his surprise at the nomination and whilst very proud of the fact that he had been nominated for such a prestigious award, said that he was “one part of a great team that supports the business at all levels and the nomination is a reflection of the great job everyone does.”
