Kerrang! Radio’s Rockdog, which presents a weekly show on the Birmingham-based rock station – is to be temporarily replaced by a horse.
Rocking Horse will host his first show this weekend covering for Rockdog who takes a break for guide dog training.
The animal spot is a Bauer cross-brand partnership, where readers of Your Horse Magazine have been busy choosing an animal to provide cover for the weekly show whilst Rockdog – AKA Zorro.
Announced by Your Horse Magazine this week, the winning horse was “Rascal”!
“Some snooty radio industry types criticised us when we originally announced Rockdog,” Programme Director James Walshe told RadioToday exclusively.
“Extensive research we wrote on a napkin revealed a 90% satisfaction rating amongst listeners. Like us, they don’t take it at all seriously. You could say we’re just horsing around.”
