Over thirty pupils from a local School turned up at The Bay yesterday to record a special song to commemorate the school playing at Wembley.
“We’re On Our Way to Wembley!”, set to be released on CD, is based on the classic “Camptown Races, with new lyrics written to mark the school’s football team’s Wembley Stadium appearance playing in the n power Football League Kids’ Cup on Saturday 18th May.
The pupils’ performance will be filmed and a special CD/DVD, generously supported by Lancaster’s new 315 Health Club, released in time for the trip to London with proceeds from its sale going to the school’s nominated local charity, Unique Kidz.
The Bay Breakfast’s Danny Matthews commented: “This is a tremendous achievement for St Luke’s and The Bay wanted to mark their historic visit to Wembley by giving them a song that they could also use as their anthem on the day.
“We wish them all the very best for May 18th and are confident that they will be bringing the cup back to Slyne-with-Hest!”
