104.7 Minster FM in North Yorkshire has signed ex-Bauer presenter Paul ‘Griffo’ Griffiths for full-time breakfast.
‘Griffo in the Morning’ has been on air for the last few months but station Programme Controller David Green has just signed him up permanently.
He said: “Signing Griffo, who has over 14 years Yorkshire Heritage, was a no-brainer, he lives locally, he really connects with our TSA, gets out there, and his style compliments the Radio Station perfectly”.
Griffo told RadioToday: “I live and breathe North Yorkshire and joining Minster FM is perfect for me and the family, they are a great team in York and UKRD really understand that work life balance is really important, and with my baby daughter due in August that is a relief!”
Previous breakfast presenter James Watt is moving to BBC Radio Stoke.
Griffo started his radio career at MFM, moving to Viking FM in Hull to host mid-mornings in 2000 then on to Radio Aire in 2005 to host the same shift.
He departed Aire last year after 8 years to work freelance at Global radio and Orion Media.
