INRIX manager quits to join BBC Merseyside

INRIX manager of client relations and communications Andrea Day is leaving the company after almost a decade to join BBC Radio Merseyside.

Andrea joined the travel news provider when it was Trafficlink in 2004 as a broadcaster and editor based in Manchester, and went on to run the north west office before looking after most of INRIX’s client base.

“I’ve loved being involved with the changes and developments across so many radio stations over the past nine years through my work at INRIX,” Andrea told RadioToday.

“Radio certainly has a different landscape now, to when I started. It’s an exciting time to join the BBC, especially at such a well-loved, characterful station as Radio Merseyside. I’m really looking forward to joining a great team there.”

Andrea also launched INRIX’s own radio station, Travel Radio after the closure of Government-funded Traffic Radio, and appeared on national television news when major road incidents happened.

Andrea will take on the role of Administrator at BBC Radio Merseyside in September.
