BBC Radio 1Xtra has a new sound today, created by Emergency Production Music using the vocal talents of artists Scrufizzer and Lady Leshurr.

EPM told us they worked closely with the station sound team at BBC Radio 1Xtra to devise a unique and vibrant package that firmly reinforces 1Xtra’s commitment to supporting new UK artists.

Creative Director for EPM, Colin Burgess added “The energy, excitement and attitude brought to the mix by Scrufizzer and Leshurr really make this station sound package one of a kind. We are very proud to have been involved in such a progressive approach to station imaging.”

Emergency Production Music have produced a number of commissioned works for BBC Worldwide, including audio branding for BBC Three television, BBC Introducing, Newsbeat and The Official Chart.

1Xtra’s sister station BBC Radio 1 uses Pure Jingles for their production and recently had an update of the main package from last year.
