Real Radio gives away £50k to one listener

One listener from the North West of England has won £50k on Real Radio’s networked competition Fifty Grand Friday.

Across the month of June, each Real Radio Breakfast team on the Real Radio network have been playing a daily ‘Fact or Fiction’ competition to find their region’s finalist. The five finalists competed against each other on Darren Parks’ mid-morning show, with Gillian Tetlow from St Helens winning £50,000.

Chris Stevens, Deputy Group Programme Director for Real Radio told RadioToday: “We are absolutely delighted for Gillian. This really is a life changing prize and Gillian has told us she’s planning on treating her girls to a Disneyland holiday, a new car and lots more. We’re very proud to have given our listeners the chance to win this fantastic cash prize.”
