BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine will be speaking at this year’s Radio Festival in Salford, after he took a Masterclass as last year’s event.
Arts journalist and Radio 4 broadcaster Mark Lawson will also be there, sharing some radiofails.
They join other confirmed speakers including Helen Boaden, who will make her first public speech since taking over as Director of BBC Radio, and talkSPORT’s Liam Fisher, who is teaming up with 5 live’s Jonathan Wall for their very own “sports radio” Fighting Talk.
Jeremy Vine will talk about the pitfalls of being a radio presenter in ‘The Three Big Dangers of a Daily Show’, while Mark Lawson will look at some of those on air moments that made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The Festival will also showcase rising talent as five of the Radio Academy’s 30 Under 30 winners, who represent some of radio’s most promising talent, will conduct interviews.
This year’s event takes place on October 14th, 15th and 16th with a the RadioToday Pre-Festival Social Evening taking place on Sunday 13th October at OnThe7th Lounge in MediaCityUK
