Former BBC Radio 1 presenter and current 6 Music / Radio 2 host Steve Lamaca has been handed a “special recognition” title at the AIM Independent Music Awards.
Steve was given the honour as he hosted the event in London Tuesday evening, in recognition of his 20 years broadcasting for the BBC, and all of his support for independent artists.
His colleague Gilles Peterson from BBC 6 Music was also recognised, picking up the Indie Champion Award.
