102.2 Capital FM welcomed the Ne-yo, Jessie J, JLS, The Wanted, Labrinth, The Saturdays and many more to Birmingham as it hosted a gig in the city.
The Fusion Festival, which attracted over 30,000 people, was broadcast exclusively on Capital, along with some special shows across the weekend.
Capital presenters including Breakfast’s Dan & Katy and drivetime’s Sacha Brooks were joined backstage by performers for interviews which could be heard on the station and also seen in the arena and online.
Capital listeners had the chance to hear highlights this week from the performances and exclusive backstage interviews with a special one-off show, Fusion Relived.
Programme Controller Paul Gerrard commented: ‘We’ve had an amazing time supporting Fusion Festival and bringing some of the biggest names in hit-music to Brum. Not only did we get the chance to host some of the most incredible acts live on stage but we had them join us backstage for what has got to be the biggest party Birmingham has seen in years. Bring on 2014!’
