Arqiva backs revamped Radio Hall of Fame

Radio Academy has teamed up with Arqiva for sponsorship of a new look Hall of Fame lunch, to be held in December.

The event has been part of the Radio Festival for the last few years but moves back to its own dedicated event, this year taking place in London on December 12th.

The Hall of Fame honours radio’s most outstanding personalities.

Arqiva has agreed a multi-year sponsorship of the event, which will see several new names joining previous inductees including Tony Blackburn, Annie Nightingale, Jenni Murray, Ken Bruce, Danny Baker, Tony Hancock, Sue MacGregor, Bob Harris and Kenneth Horne in receiving the recognition.

Paul Robinson, Chief Executive of The Radio Academy told RadioToday: “We are delighted and honoured to announce Arqiva as our strategic partner for this premier event that celebrates the talent and personalities that make UK radio the best in the world.”

Ben Hart, Head of Commercial Radio at Arqiva, said: “I am proud and delighted that Arqiva has been invited to support this important radio industry event.

Recognising the talents of the highest calibre people from BBC and commercial radio is extremely important as they continue to make our industry a vibrant place to work.”

Details of this year’s inductees and ticket information will be announced soon.
