Production company On The Sly has written and produced some new station-wide musical sonic themes for digital station BBC 6 Music.
The brief was to create an identity for the station to reflect the diverse sounds and styles of ‘one of the most exciting playlists out there’.
On The Sly Production Director, David Wakefield told RadioToday: “This new sound has been a labour of love for us as the challenge of creating authentic, credible and real music in short branding statements is something we’ve relished. Working with our team of composers we’re excited that these musical soundscapes can now be heard on air, as we continue to work with 6 Music to develop the musical sound of the network.”
On The Sly’s other clients include BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, XFM, myFM Los Angeles and Chicago, Nova Network Australia and Virgin Radio International.
