Classic FM presenter Jamie Crick has been announced as the host for next week’s Radio Production Awards.
The event is run by the Radio Academy and the Radio Independents Group and is now in its fourth year. It’s previously been hosted by comedian and now Xfm breakfast presenter Jon Holmes. Jamie has been at Classic FM since 1993 and has been in the lunchtime slot for the last nine years.
The RPAs celebrate UK-based radio and audio producers with awards recognising individuals with the exception of the Indie of the Year prize.
Paul Robinson, CEO of The Radio Academy said: “The RPAs are increasing in stature and importance and we are honoured to have Jamie Crick host what will be a hugely enjoyable and important evening to salute the production giants of the UK Radio Industry.”
Phil Critchlow, Chair of the Radio Independents Group (RIG), said: “With just a week to go to the RPAs we’re delighted that this year’s event sold out in record time. The room will be packed with people from right across the industry, and in the new venue, the Hippodrome, it promises to be a great night.”
The event’s taking place at The Hippodrome in London on Tuesday (26th November). Follow our coverage on the night on RadioToday Live with Arqiva. See the list of nominees.
