Capital FM East Midlands Programme Director Dick Stone is taking on the extra responsibility of Group Programme Director of Smooth Radio.
Dick will report to Richard Park, Global’s Director of Broadcasting Richard Park and starts on November 11th.
Dick Stone said: “I’m both proud and privileged to take on this new role. The team at Smooth is immensely talented and I’m looking forward to working closely with them to power the station to new heights. It’s going to be exciting, great fun and I can’t wait to get started.”
Richard Park, Global’s Director of Broadcasting, said: “Alongside his enthusiasm and wealth of experience, Dick has a proven track record at Global with Capital FM in the East Midlands. We are thrilled to promote him to this new role at Smooth Radio.”
Smooth Radio recently moved to Global Radio’s Leicester Square offices after the Competition Commission agreed for the London station to be removed from Hold Separate condition imposed on it after buying GMG Radio 18 months ago.
