New duo for Heart East Anglia Breakfast

Rob and Chrissie’s replacement at Heart East Anglia will be Heart SouthWest’s Dave Taylor and TV presenter Sarah Cawood.

Dave is currently drivetime presenter on Heart SouthWest and Sarah makes the move to radio after hosting many television shows including Live and Kicking, Top of the Pops, Loose Women and the National Lottery.

Great Yarmouth-born Dave says: “I started in radio twelve years ago in East Anglia whilst at the UEA and grew up in Lowestoft, so it’s great to finally be back and waking up loads of old friends and making lots of new ones. Plus I can go and see mum every Sunday in Carlton Colville and get a roast dinner and my washing done!”

Sarah Cawood adds: “I’m so thrilled to be a part of Heart East Anglia (doubly so, being an East Anglian girl myself!). I’ve always wanted to work in radio and I’m really looking forward to waking Norfolk and Suffolk up in style with my fabulously funny co-host Dave Taylor. Fasten your seat belts: Dave and Sarah are coming!”

Heart’s Programme Controller Steve Martin: “We are delighted to welcome local boy Dave and showbiz girl Sarah to Heart in East Anglia. They’ve got an amazing chemistry and together they will bring a fantastic sense of fun to the new Heart Breakfast show. I know our listeners will love getting to know them.”

They start on Monday 6th January 2014, with Rob and Chrissie’s last show on-air December 20th.
