BBC Radio 2 is to air a series of shows about entrepreneur and artist manager Simon Fuller in what will be his first ever in-depth interview.
Nicki Chapman chats to Simon on Jan 1st about his favourite music, plus there are contributions from Annie Lennox, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Cathy Dennis, Will Young and David Beckham.
In two further programmes, produced by Malcolm Prince, Nicki Chapman talks to Simon about his life, achievements and ambitions.
Fuller recalls the creation of Pop Idol, how he guided The Spice Girls to the international charts and his hopes and plans for the future of music entertainment.
Nicki Chapman, who for many years worked closely with Simon Fuller as Creative Director at his company 19 Management Ltd, says: “Simon is one of the most intriguing and powerful characters in the entertainment industry, but most people wouldn’t know who he is. I’ve known him for over 20 years and I’m looking forward to finding out exactly what makes him tick.”
