The station had been talking about it for weeks and on Valentine’s Day Key 103 revealed the Surprisal to one listener – being proposed to in public in Manchester.
The idea was first mentioned on-air just a few weeks ago by breakfast presenters Mike & Chelsea, inviting listeners to put themselves forward for the chance to win what the station said would be be a “totally memorable experience” based on a Valentine’s Day stunt.
Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson formed part of the public event, which included live music, stilt walkers, fire eaters and a marriage proposal followed by a weekend in Paris.
