Online country music station Chris Country has added two new American country shows to its schedule.
The Texas Country Music Countdown is a weekly two hour programme, playing the most-heard Texan artists, using sales and airplay data from the Texas Regional Radio Report. Presented by Texan country DJ Kenny Schneebeli, this show is syndicated direct from the Lone Star State, and it can be heard on Chris Country, Wednesday evenings 8pm to 10pm.
Plus, bluegrass fans can tune in on Tuesday evenings to check out The Main Street Bluegrass Radio Show, presented by Rob Kowald. The show can be heard across America, but it’s the first time that it’s been broadcast in the UK.
As well as featuring new and upcoming bluegrass music, the show also includes classic bluegrass tracks and gig information.
Station founder Chris Stevens said: “As a country station that concentrates primarily on American music, we’re delighted to add these new shows to our schedule. Kenny and Rob know their music inside out, and we’re sure that our listeners will enjoy their shows each week.
Chris Country has iPhone, iPad and Android apps, and can also be heard on Sonos and Pure radios and on iTunes Internet Radio. Created in 2013 by radio producer and programmer Chris Stevens, the station has recently interviewed stars including Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Jessica Clemmons and Kacey Musgraves.
