Signal 1 invites a horse into the studio

Signal 1’s afternoon drive presenter Martin Lowes decided to celebrate the Chinese New Year on Friday by inviting a horse to the studio.

The station decorated the studio, had fortune cookies and ate with chopsticks whilst inviting listeners on to join in the celebrations with facts they had about china.

But the horse didn’t quite make it to the studio, as Martin explained: “I wanted to do something completely different so I decided as it is the year of the horse, what better way to celebrate than bringing a horse into the studio. Sadly Engineering got wind of this and would only let us stand at the front door but that didn’t stop us having fun!”

The station recently had new studio installed and put their old ones on eBay.

Martin continued: “You never know what is going to happen on the homerun, we are always looking at bigger and better things. Last Friday we were playing Bagpipes and eating Haggis, Monday we have owls and Meerkats in the Studio just because and Tuesday we are taking part in a 24 hour bounce on a trampoline.”
