Saturday nights on UTV Radio stations in England and Wales will get two new shows next month, with Pat Sharp and Dave Pearce.
Former Smooth Radio afternoon presenter and well known TV host Pat Sharp will host “Pat Sharp’s Saturday Night Party” from 6pm with “party classics and feel good songs”, then ex-Radio 1 and Kiss jock Dave Pearce takes over from 10pm with “Dave Pearce’s Dance Anthems”.
Pat Sharp said: “I’m really looking forward to spending Saturday nights with UTV’s listeners across the country. When this opportunity for my Saturday Night Party came along, I jumped at the chance and can’t wait to get started.”
Pat’s show will be produced by UTV, while Dave Pearce Dance Anthems will be a collaboration between UTV and Distorted Productions.
Dave Pearce said: “I can’t wait to share my passion for dance music with this exciting new show. Whether you’re going out or having a big night in, I’ll be delivering the ultimate uplifting music experience.”
Dave spent the last 10 years presenting Dance Anthems on BBC Radio 1. He starts at UTV along with Pat on March 1st.
The shows will be broadcast across UTV Media’s local network, including Signal 1 in Staffordshire and Cheshire, The Pulse in Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale, Peak FM in North Derbyshire, The Wave in South Wales, Radio wave in Blackpool, Tower FM in Bolton and Bury, Wire FM in Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn, Wish FM in Wigan and St Helens, and Signal 107 in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Kidderminster.
