April Fool's Day stunt at Nova in Sydney

Two presenters at a radio station in Australia have got their April Fool’s stunt in early as they wind-up station bosses during the breakfast show.

Nova 96.9’s Fitzy and Wippa shocked management when Fitzy pretended to quit radio live on-air, complete with a number of F-bombs. The announcement sent Programme Director Brendan Taylor and Assistant PD Tony Aldridge (former Southern FM Programme Controller) racing down the corridor to the studio to stop what was happening.

What they didn’t know was that Fitzy and Wippa got the engineers to play the pre-recorded break through the station speakers only.
