Craig Beck leaves The Pulse for the sun

UTV Radio senior programmer Craig Beck, currently based at The Pulse in Bradford, is leaving the company after three and a half years.

He has previously worked at a number of stations around the North of England, including Real Radio, Key 103 and Viking FM, but has decided to leave radio and move abroad.

“There were two things I always wanted to do since I was a little boy. One was to be on the radio and the other was to live abroad in the sunshine,” Craig told RadioToday.co.uk. “After 21 years of commercial radio I think I have well and truly scratched the first itch. The industry has changed beyond all recognition and so with my 40th birthday just around the corner I decided to get cracking on part two.

“I will be sad to leave the team at The Pulse and Pulse 2 but I am excited about trying my hand at something new and equally creative… but in the warmth of the Cyprus sunshine.”
