IOM's 3FM goes all female for Women's Day
Women at 3FM are taking over the station in celebration of International Women’s Day on Saturday.
The full day’s programming has a line up of female presenters and news readers, starting with Christy DeHaven in the morning, including a top ten at 10am of all-female tracks.
Then Nicola J from midday will be on, playing an A-Z of girls in music.
Zoe Guilford will then be taking over with some of the most renowned Island-based women in business, politics and sport; like Claire Milne; Partner at Appleby Isle of Man, Anne Couper Woods; Director of IQE and the President of Tynwald herself, Mrs Claire Christian MLC – who will give listeners the lowdown on their accomplishments and pick favourite artists and songs to go on air.
From 7pm, the station’s newest member, Helen McKenna, will be bringing in the Evening Show, and Liz Peters will close International Women’s Day 2014 on 3FM with Easy Rock from 10pm.
BBC Radio 1 is also going all-female, but all weekend long, along with a number of other stations including Sunderland’s Student station Spark FM dumping the males on Friday.
