Bauer’s The Hits presenter James Everton is replacing Simon Morykin as host of UTV Radio’s networked evening show Total Access.
Simon is moving to Tower FM from Monday to host the breakfast show – the station he started his career at as a teenager in the 1990s.
James has previously worked for Kerrang! Radio, BRMB, Rock FM and Radio City and has spent the last two years presenting drivetime on The Hits from Manchester. “I’m really looking forward to taking over one of the biggest shows in UK radio and I can’t wait to catch up again with the some of the world’s biggest music stars on Total Access,” James told RadioToday.co.uk
Terry Underhill, UTV’s Group Programme Director added: “James is one of the UK’s most talented young presenters. His natural style and ability to connect with a young audience, combined with his experienced interviewing technique, make him the perfect DJ for our hugely successful Total Access show. He’s joining our stations as they are flying high in audience growth and his arrival will help to take us even higher.”
Total Access is broadcast on Signal 1, Signal 107, Radio Wave, Peak FM, The Wave, Wish FM, Wire FM, Tower FM and The Pulse weeknights at 7pm.
