Rich Williams has left Radio Aire to pursue new ventures, as afternoon drive presenter Kam Kelly takes over the breakfast show.
Rich and his co-host Naomi Kent said an emotional goodbye on Friday.
Kam is joined by Capital FM London newsreader Katie Radley when he starts Kam Kelly at Breakfast tomorrow morning (7th April).
Rich said: “Radio Aire will always have a special place in my heart. It’s where I started my career on the street team twelve years ago and have had the privilege of waking up my home city for the last three and picked up an Arqiva Commercial Radio Award. I’ve made the decision that it’s time for me to move on to explore new avenues and start a new adventure in my career. I wish all at Radio Aire well in the future.”
Kam has been hosting ‘Home Run’ for the last six months and says: “Leeds is an incredible city filled with big characters with great stories to tell. I can’t wait to share them on the show.”
Radio Aire’s Content Controller Alex Vladev said: “This is a really exciting time for Radio Aire and for Leeds. Kam is a talented and experienced broadcaster and I can’t wait to hear him waking up Leeds every morning from Monday.”
