Real Radio presenters leave before Heart

A number of Real Radio presenters are leaving the network ahead of its official change-over to Heart next month.

In the North West, Breakfast presenter Glen Hunt, who previously hosted the station’s drivetime show since 2008, will leave the station whilst Drivetime presenter Oli Kemp, who joined on overnights, will leave drive but keep a show within the group.

In Yorkshire Breakfast co-host Gayle Lofthouse will leave the station and Drivetime presenter Ian Brannan moves to weekends.

It means Global Radio’s biggest station outside London in terms of TSA, 105.4 Real Radio based in Manchester, will have a completely new weekday line-up when it re-brands as Heart.

More details on the new schedules at all former GMG Real Radio stations now owned by Global and Communicorp are expected soon.
