Free Radio launches Give it Up Appeal

This week Free Radio called on its listeners to join their new fundraising campaign called the Give it Up Appeal.

It aims to raise over £10,000 for two local charities in Coventry and Warwickshire by asking listeners to give something up for one day and donate it to the appeal.

It has three steps:

1. Choose one luxury – driving to work, a posh coffee, that naughty cake or even your weekend wine.
2. Give it Up – Just for one day
3. Then, whatever money you save, donate it to the Give it Up Appeal.

Free Radio presenters are getting in on the act too, with their chosen luxuries to give up ranging from fake tan, coffee and crisps,to their mobile phone and wine.

Breakfast show presenter JD is really keen to raise as much money as possible, saying: “We are always overwhelmed by how generous our listeners are when it comes to supporting local charities”.

The appeal will support local charities Molly Olly’s Wishes and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
