Bauer gets ready for Golden Square move

This is the front window of One Golden Square, as Bauer Radio gets ready to move Kerrang!, heat, Kiss, Magic and Planet Rock in.

Presenter Leona Graham tweeted the photo today, with the caption: “Exciting times. Coming soon.”

Being commercial radio, the opportunity to include a sponsor hasn’t passed them by either, with an equally prominent “Built by Wickes” also displayed.

Ten new studios are being built as the building, which has been home to Absolute/Virgin since 1993, continues internal work. A new live performance session space with video recording capabilities and a refreshed reception area will also be created to reflect the location as the home of the national brands.

Bauer claims the office is “The UK’s new home of radio” as it moves stations from Mappin House. It will technically have more radio stations inside than Global’s HQ around the corner at Leicester Square, which is home to Classic, Capital, Capital XTRA, Heart, Smooth, Gold, LBC, LBC News and Xfm at the moment (with a possible additional national DAB station launching soon too).

One Golden Square will house seven Absolute stations in addition to Kerrang!, heat, Kiss, Kiss Fresh, KISSTORY, Magic and Planet Rock.
