Viking FM searches for a local presenter

In an X-Factor style process, Viking FM’s Sean Goldsmith is looking for a presenter to join the station.

Local open auditions will take place over the next couple of weeks for Summer to Stardom which will result in a job within the Bauer Media station. A panel of professionals from the industry will be present to watch the candidates.

Sean said: “During the Summer we’ll be searching for that one star that stands out from the crowd. This is a huge opportunity to join the presenters and me on air at Viking FM”.

Once selected, there will be a Presenter Academy held at Viking FM which will be the final stage, before five hopefuls are selected to battle it out for that ultimate prize of being the next Viking FM Presenter.

Regional Bauer Yorkshire Content Director John Dash commented: “This is such a great chance for someone to make a name for themselves. If you think you’ve got what it takes to become the next Viking FM presenter then make sure you come along to our auditions across the Summer, it’s going to be great fun.”

The station currently has Sean on breakfast, Pete Egerton on daytime and Steve Jordan on drivetime, followed by networked programmes in the evening and overnight.
