talkSPORT says sorry for Alan Brazil rant


Alan Brazil, breakfast presenter at talkSPORT has been in the headlines today for his comments about the death of Robin Williams.
Alan was chatting about the moment he heard the news, and mis-heard Robin for Robbie, saying “And then when she said ‘Robin’, I thought, ‘oh, okay'”
He also said “I don’t have a lot of sympathy, I’m sorry.”
The former footballer attracted a huge response on Twitter, with many saying they won’t be listening to the station again and calling for him to be sacked. Online news sites and newspapers first highlighted the comments leading to national and international coverage of the remarks.
And the station has apologised for the outburst, with a spokesman telling RadioToday: “talkSPORT would like to apologise for any offence caused. Alan’s comments do not represent the views of the station.”
