Rapper Jay Sean to co-host Sunrise Radio show

British Asian singer-songwriter, rapper, beatboxer and record producer Jay Sean is to host a one-off drivetime show on Sunrise Radio.

He’ll present the programme tomorrow, Friday 31st October, with regular host Sonia Dutta.

Station Managing Director Tony Lit: “It’s great to have the super talented Jay Sean with us here at Sunrise. When he’s in the UK It’s always a pleasure to have him join us, a real treat for our listeners and his fans. The show is going to be really special Jay will be playing all his favourite Bollywood songs and Punjabi Desi Beats, with the lucky winners of this week’s Sunrise Jay Sean Competition getting to meet him, too.”

Sean is often referred to as a ‘one-man boy band’; he has topped charts in the UK, Europe, USA and Japan. Sean has also been a featured artist in several hits – ‘What Happened to Us’ by Australian R&B and soul singer Jessica Mauboy features Jay Sean reaching the top 20 on the Aria singles chart and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association.

Sunrise Radio now broadcasts to London on 963/972am, DAB and online.
