Bob Mortimer voices new radio campaign on Clyde 1

Radio Clyde’s creative team has brought in Bob Mortimer to front a radio campaign for an online tyre retailer.

In the adverts, Bob offers listeners a number of ‘top tips’, including “save time and increase productivity by calling yourself Steve” for anyone called Steven, while aspiring chefs are encouraged to “pretend you’re on a primetime TV cooking contest by having a little cry after making your dinner.”
Clyde’s Head of Creative, John-Paul Hughes devised the concept and wrote the adverts’ scripts. He said: “From start to finish, the project has been a lot of fun to work on and the team at have been fantastic to work with. They gave us creative licence to develop the idea from scratch and I think we’re all delighted with the finished product.
“It’s not every day you get to work with someone like Bob Mortimer on a project and it certainly was a surreal experience. He was a great laugh throughout the recording sessions and he seemed to be relatively impressed with the script. He definitely let out the odd chuckle, so we’re taking that as a sign of comedic approval!”
