Louise Elliott returns to BBC Radio Wales

After taking a year out last December, Louise Elliott will return to BBC Radio Wales to co-host the breakfast show.

She’ll be back in 2015, joining Oliver Hides to present Good Morning Wales, Monday to Friday from February.

Louise joined the station in 2007 after nine years in news, current affairs and consumer journalism on television and radio at BBC Wales.

She says, “It is a real privilege to join the Good Morning Wales team and I’m looking forward to being part of the programme’s success.”

Steve Austins, Editor of BBC Radio Wales, says: “I’m delighted that Louise is re-joining the Radio Wales team in the New Year. She’s a terrific presenter who has a real rapport with her audience and I know she’ll form a formidable partnership with Ollie on Good Morning Wales”.

Before leaving last year, Louise was the host of afternoons and has previously worked as BBC network news correspondent in London, reporting for Radio 4’s Today programme, Breakfast, Radio 4’s PM programme, News 24 and for Radio 5 Live.
