BBC Radio Cymru appoints new Deputy Editor

Pobol y Cwm series producer Ynyr Williams is BBC Radio Cymru’s new Deputy Editor from the beginning of next year.
Ynyr joins the station after seven years working on the Welsh-language television soap opera, where he was responsible for a number of highlights including its relocation from Llandaff to its new home in Roath Lock, alongside other BBC drama productions. He also led the series’ recent fortieth birthday celebrations.
Betsan Powys, Editor of Radio Cymru said, “I’m delighted to welcome Ynyr to the Radio Cymru team. The Deputy Editor’s role will be central as we build and develop the station’s creative leadership and continue to provide support for our production teams. Ensuring high standards for our listeners is always the priority and the station will benefit from Ynyr’s experience.”
