Promotions at Bauer within its new City Network

Bauer Media has renamed its Place Portfolio as the City Network, compromising 21 cities and towns across the UK.

In addition, Chris Pegg takes on the newly created role of Network Breakfast and Talent Development Director focussing on Bauer City 1 stations, whilst Tom Haynes steps into Chris’ old role as North East Regional Content Director.

In Bauer’s local radio markets, the City Network includes three brand iterations including main stations that sit within the Bauer City 1 bracket, plus extensions, Bauer City 2 and Bauer City 3.

In the last 12 months Chris Pegg has combined his role as North East Regional Content Director with that of Head of Breakfast Development for the network, working closely with breakfast shows, Regional Content Directors and station Content Controllers to develop audience engagement at breakfast time.

Chris will also be responsible for finding the next generation of talent and will be working closely with the Bauer Academy.

Group Content Director, Bauer Place north of England and Scotland Owen Ryan said “Chris and Tom’s appointments will allow us to hit the ground running and the guys will put us in great shape to help maximise our growth strategy as much as possible into 2015.”

Both Chris and Tom will remain based in the North East and take up their new roles on 5th January 2015.
