Ben Cooper to visit students in the North

Ben Cooper, controller of BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra will be in Carlisle and Sunderland this month to meet students at both Sunderland University and the University of Cumbria.

The events, both hosted by John Myers, will take place on Thursday 29th January – at 12.30pm at Sunderland University and 4pm at the University of Cumbria, in Carlisle.

Students will hear Ben talking about the national radio services he manages, the many innovations taking place across the networks right now plus taking questions on media in general including what it takes to get a job on his stations.

Ben is also Chair of The Radio Academy and as such both events are open to Radio Academy members by contacting the Universities direct, but booking is essential.
