Free Radio promotion puts petrol at 96.4p

Free Radio in the West Midlands is running a promotion all day Friday where listeners will get unleaded petrol for 96.4p to reflect its FM frequency.

Foxy & Giuliano will announce in breakfast which petrol station in Walsall will be running the offer from 8am till 6pm, as a presenter provides updates live from the location together with a promo team.

Andy Price, Marketing Director at Free Radio said: “All through January we’ve been easing the post Christmas financial pain for our listeners by paying their bills. The price of fuel is a hot topic right now so we thought helping to reduce their travel costs too would be an extra bonus in their wallets. We’re always looking for innovative ways to market the brand and this taps into a wider relevant news issue.”

Phil Riley, the CEO of Free Radio’s owner Orion Media added: “We wanted to bring the country’s cheapest petrol possible to the pumps in the West Midlands, and by joining with Ablewell we will be doing that for their customers and our listeners.”
