KCFM hosts sell-out UB40 concert in Hull

Hull’s KCFM hosted a sell-out gig with UB40’s Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue in the city last week.

The station was at the centre of the concert, breaking the news of the event and offering exclusive ticket giveaways throughout the week.

Breakfast Show presenter Matt Hutchinson hosted the gig and told RadioToday: “The atmosphere was electric. It’s been 17 years since they last played in the city and the crowd were certainly singing along! We met the band backstage beforehand and they were really looking forward to playing the two nights.”

This looks set to be the first of many upcoming gigs for KCFM throughout 2015, with the station hosting the Boyz II Men concert when they come to Hull City Hall in May.
