A hospital radio station is enjoying national coverage today on BBC Radio Cymru and BBC Radio Wales.
Radio Glamorgan is simulcasting live with the national BBC stations today, with programmes coming live from the hospital.
Volunteer presenter Gareth Rowlands will be heard on Radio Wales from 2pm till 5pm today, after hospital radio presenters Robert Darke, Helen Ward, Jamie Pritchard & Clare Sinclair broadcast live from the Children’s Hospital in Glamorgan this morning at 9.
It’s part of a 24 hour snapshot of life in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board by the BBC. Chair Clare Sinclair told RadioToday: “As a charity run entirely by volunteers, Hospital Radio Glamorgan provides an important service to the University Hospital of Wales by enriching the patients experience at a time that can be scary and lonely. I’m sure the exciting BBC event will be interesting and insightful to the audience.”
