Chris Evans rules himself out of Top Gear job
Chris Evans has announced he is not interested in taking over from Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear after he became favourite to take over the show.
He tweeted: “I can categorically say I am not and will NEVER be running for office. Pls discount my candidacy.”
The BBC Radio 2 presenter has been tipped as the hot favourite to take over the TV job from Clarkson, with William Hill offering odds at 2/1.
Jeremy Clarkson, however, remains suspended from the position after a ‘fracas’ with a producer.
