Russell Brand returns to weekly XFM show

Russell Brand is returning to the radio station he started a weekly show on in 2002 – with original co-host Matt Morgan.

The one-hour Sunday night show on XFM will feature selected content from his twice-weekly audioBoom podcasts and will air across the network, in London, Manchester and Paisley.

Russell’s first stint on XFM ended when he was fired for reading pornographic material live on-air. He then went on to work on 6 Music, Radio 2, talkSPORT and more. He hosted a one-off show at Xfm in 2013 for charity, where he was joined by Noel Gallagher and Noel Fielding.

XFM managing editor, Chris Baughen said: “Having Russell return to XFM is great news and something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time. For me, radio is where he does his best work and along with many XFM and Russell Brand fans, I can’t wait to hear what he’s got in store!”

He starts this Sunday 15th March.
