Share Radio to air Open University course

Share Radio has signed an exclusive agreement with The Open University Business School to launch a radio broadcast and audio podcast version of their Managing My Money course.

Broadcasting is expected to start by the end of June, and it will be possible for new starters to join the eight week course every two to three weeks.

Each broadcast weekly segment of Managing My Money will conclude with a short online test, with a final more comprehensive test at completion, which will be confirmed by a statement of participation. The broadcast course will be free of charge, as is The Open University Business School course.

Managing Director Gavin Oldham said: “We are delighted to be working with The Open University Business School to broadcast ‘Managing My Money’. Share Radio has already established a strong reputation for accessible and helpful guidance on money matters, and this will be a strong basis for taking forward financial capability in the United Kingdom. We hope people will enjoy and benefit from the course when we launch later this year.”

Share Radio says this agreement is a key part of its vision to help people throughout the United Kingdom to be more confident in handling money. It hopes to work with employers’ organisations and with schools to build use of the course across the country.
