Ted Robbins returns to BBC Radio Lancashire

Presenter Ted Robbins is returning to his regular Sunday morning show on BBC Radio Lancashire this Sunday after collapsing on stage.

Ted was taken ill on January 31st during the first night of the Phoenix Nights Live gig in Manchester when he fell over on stage in front of thousands of fans.

He said today he intend to keep going as long as he can and the prognosis is good. “I’m very, very lucky – I plan to keep walking. I have lost a couple of stone but I wouldn’t recommend this as a diet plan.”

The station tweeted this evening saying: “We’re delighted to say Ted Robbins returns to the airwaves this Sunday from 9am”.

His show has been covered by Glen Hunt, fellow Phoenix Nights Live star and Radio Lancashire presenter Steve Royle, and Ted’s sister Kate, on different occasions.
