The Radio People produce Election Handbook

A new handbook designed to help radio stations and presenters during the General Election has been made available by The Radio People.

Coverage of Britain’s closest general election in decades started today when the Prime Minister dissolved parliament, and this free download highlights the special rules which apply to all broadcasters.

Senior Partner at The Radio People, David Duffy, says it will be of great use to community broadcasters: “Broadcast media plays an important role during a general election and, because it has the potential to influence voters, there are strict regulations and codes of conduct that must be followed. Our Handbook is essentially a layman’s guide to these rules”.

The six-page document is available as a free download from The Radio People website at theradiopeople.co.uk.
