UKRD and Star Radio NE manager cleared

Former Star Radio North East Saleswoman Dawn Carney has lost an employment tribunal against her former boss John Clayton and UKRD.

John was Managing Director of Star Radio station when Dawn claimed he asked for new recruits to have “big boobs and blonde hair” like her.

But a tribunal panel in Newcastle dismissed her claims of sexual harassment and unfair dismissal, and ruled in favour of Mr Clayton and UKRD Group.

The case revealed Dawn was earning £65,000 per year with bonuses but UKRD says she lost the job as a result of poor sales.
